What does that work out at per kWh? (In 2026 pence)?

I remember the ROCs being introduced. They were supposed to be temporary, and here we are over 20 years later, still subsidising wind energy. Have we not learned that it is not only wind we need, but a mix of techonologies.

But if you use anything other than Renewables how can you virtue signal that you are Saving the Planet?

this is true, but if you don't how do you know. It is all a matter of scientific measurements, as with the score cards.

An interesting article that provoke deeper thinking

1/ What would be interesting to know is what drives the floor price that OFGEM sets and what drives the upper prices.

2/ ROCS were introduced as a first type of subsidy and appear to be dependent a quota of renewable power. Now that CFDS are in place how are the two outputs distinguished?

It provokes more than just deep thinking Alan. It's provoking my blood pressure upwards that we all just sit here and allow them to fleece us blind with their scams and they're just laughing at us. They can't believe they are getting away with it and so they just keep hiking up the scam and taking more and more from us and as long as we all just sit and do f-all about it they'll continue to keep pushing their limits to see what they can get away with 🤷‍♂️

The prices were set decades ago and are annually indexed. Only saving grace its on CPI now nor RPI
